In this message we examine the aftermath of the prophet Elijah's victory on Mt. Carmel. After his God-given success against the world, the flesh and the devil, not soon after he is literally "running for his life" and ends up sitting under a juniper tree, alone, frightened, and depressed. We have all sat under our own personal juniper tree, depressed and forlorn. The sermon addresses the sources, symptoms and solutions for depression we can glean from Elijah's story in 1 Kings chapter 19. [In serious cases of depression I advise that you seek professional medical help - talk to your doctor, and/or consult a competent Christian counselor. Especially if you are having thoughts of suicide or intentional harm to others.]
