The word of God commands us to “earnestly contend for the faith” in Jude 3. We are told in 1 John 4:1, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into to world.”
Unfortunately, not every thing that “sounds Christian” is sound Christian doctrine. The devil has slipped false teaching and misunderstandings into the Church. The devil, being as slick as he is, counterfeits the truth in order to promote false teachings within the Church under the guise of “Christianity” to deceive the minds of men. Satan has his own “pseudo-Christianity.” This false Christian religious system comes in many shapes and shades, each having its own Bibles, Preachers, and Churches.
The great apostle Paul expressed his concern in2 Corinthians 11:3-4, 13-15: “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
It is the minister of the Gospel’s duty to expose doctrinal errors and to explain doctrinal truths. This reveals the dual aspects of teaching the Bible. 1) The NEGATIVE aspect is to expose false doctrines. 2) The POSITIVE aspect is to explain why they are wrong and to “[expound] the way of truth more perfectly.” (Acts 18:26).
This section of our web page is dedicated to pointing out false teachings found within the religious world that confuse the unsaved and confound many Christians. Remember the words of the Bible: “For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.” (1 Corinthians 11:19). It is for this very reason that we are commanded to "Study to shew [ourselves] approved unto God" by "rightly divided the word of truth." (2 Tim. 2:15)
It is up to the Bible-believing Christian and the sincere seeker of Truth to discern what is right by the Grace of God.
