Adolf Hitler claimed to have nullified God's Law in Nazi Germany. The United States Supreme Court prohibited their public display in schools in 1980. But God's Laws are still in effect, and still the basis of human law in any civilized society. In this sermon Pastor Martin shows how God blesses a people who keep His commandments and curses those who do not. Though we are by no means saved by keeping the Law, yet the Bible tells us in the book of Proverbs that "happy" are those who keep the law. As Benjamin Franklin once said: "God's prohibitions are not for our frustration but for our protection." The Law shows us how imperfect we are in order to lead us to Jesus Christ for salvation from sin and victory in our Christian lives. The text is Exodus 20 and also Jeremiah 7.
